What is inside every tile
Four layers of protection.
Each tile is built up in layers, from a high-strength steel base to a natural stone surface. It is the reason Colour Frog roofs keep their colour and strength for years.

Natural stone granules + acrylic coat
Coloured stone granules give texture and depth; the acrylic coat on the exposed surface adds durability.

Chemical conversion treatment
Prepares the steel surface so every layer above it bonds firmly.

Hot-dip Al-Zn alloy coating
55% aluminium, 43.4% zinc and 1.6% silicon for long-lasting corrosion resistance.

CRCA steel base
Cold-rolled steel with a minimum yield strength of 300 MPa forms the strong, light core.
